Biography:
Matthieu Fumagalli received his PhD in 2013 at the University of Grenoble (France) working on nanocellulose filled elastomers in collaboration with Michelin. He performed then two successive postdoctoral trainings at the CEA (Grenoble, France) on ion conducting polymers, and at ESPCI (Paris, France) on supramolecular polymer networks. He was appointed associate professor at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 2015. His research activities are focused on the development of nanostructured and functional polymeric materials out of crystalline polysaccharides (cellulose & chitin) and are devoted to electrolyte membrane, filled elastomers and piezoelectric materials.
