Lecture Title: Reinforcement Learning and Generative Flow Networks - Concepts and Applications in Planning and Scheduling
Time: October 23, 2024, (9:00-10:30), UTC+8
Venue: Conference Room 806, Navigation Building, Yujiatou Campus
Speaker: Professor Lau Hoong Chuin, Singapore Management University
Organizer: Intelligent Transportation Systems Research Center
Abstract:
In this tutorial talk, the speaker will introduce two important concepts in AI that have emerged to be very important for resource planning and scheduling - Reinforcement Learning and Generative Flow Networks. Both these ideas evolve from the traditional Markov Decision Process for sequential decision making. The speaker will discuss the key ideas behind these methods, and show how they can be applied in real world planning and scheduling.
