On February 24th, 2025, WUT commenced its semester alongside the arrival of spring. After the winter vacation, the campus buzzed once more with laughter and delight. Faculty and students started their semester with enthusiasm and vigor.

Along with the bell at 8:00 a.m., the first lesson, a total of 263 theoretical classes, began in WUT.

In the classrooms, teachers weaved their winter vocation experiences into the lessons, blending education with entertainment to foster a vibrant and engaging atmosphere; in the library, students settled into their seats early in the morning, diving deep into the sea of knowledge, accompanied by the soft rustle of pages and the scratch of pens on paper; in the laboratories, both teachers and students quickly immerse themselves in their work, tackling challenges with focus and enthusiasm as they carry out their scientific research in an orderly manner... Fromlecture halls to sports fields, from labs to innovation hubs, the diligent and dedicated presence of faculty and learners is everywhere.

WUT leaders visited classrooms to to gain firsthand insights into teaching activities, engaged in friendly discussions with teachers and students and expressed hopeful expectations for the new semester.

Students from different colleges have expressed their visions for the new academic year. Yan Anqi, a 2023 undergraduate from the School of International Education, said, “I hope to “read thousands of books and travel thousands of miles”, participate in more interesting activities organized by WUT in the new year, and always maintain my love and curiosity for life”. Shen Lutong, a 2023 master student from the School of Management, said, “The new semester fills me with renewed drive, and I am still willing to embrace challenges, pursue growth, work tirelessly, as well as craft a meaningful chapter in my life journey.

In preparation for the spring semester in 2025, WUT coordinated cross-departmental efforts to promote facility upgrades, technological innovations, and safety guarantees in stages during the winter vacation. The Informatization Office and Network Center completed the localized deployment of the full-stack DeepSeek AI model (both on-premises and public cloud versions), and officially put it into use on February 24th,  to deliver faculty and students with smarter, more stable, more efficient, and personalized intelligent services. The Department of Student Affairs,in collaboration with the Undergraduate School of WUT and the Publicity Department of the CPC WUT Committee, launched “Guide for Returning to Campus in Spring 2025” through the university's official WeChat account, integrating information such as traffic guidance, course inquiry, and campus life services in the form of graphic and text interaction, enabling students to manage the whole process of returning to campus  through a unified digital interface”; During the vocation, the Office of Logistics Management launched the “Beautiful WUT 2025 Action” including improving the campus environment, inspecting campus facilities, in order to providing a pretty and safe campus environment atmosphere for faculty and students; meanwhile the Logistics Group prepared in advance for various tasks such as dining services, retail operations, and shuttle services, ensuring thoughtful service guarantees for faculty and students.

Before the start of the new semester, the university conducted on-site inspections across all campuses, evaluating teaching facilities, living facilities, laboratories, safety production, and fire prevention systems to ensure the smooth progress of various work in the spring semester of 2025.

May our faculty and students live up to the expectations of the times and harness the vitality of youth, with hard work as the sail and effort as the oar, brave the wind and waves in the new semester, and move forward courageously.
